Welcome to uMaster (“we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing or using our website, programs, mentoring services, or digital content (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our Services.
01Eligibility
To use uMaster:
- You must be 13 years of age or older.
- If you are under 18, you must use uMaster with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- By enrolling in our Services, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and truthful.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
02About uMaster
uMaster provides:
- Online STEM research mentoring
- Science fair preparation
- Academic skill-building programs
- Expert-led coaching sessions (1:1 or group)
- Assignments, worksheets, templates, and curriculum content
- Access through LearnWorlds or other third-party platforms
uMaster is not a school, accredited institution, or academic certifying authority.
03Accounts and Access
When you create an account:
- You must provide accurate and complete information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not:
- Share your login credentials with others
- Allow others to access your program using your subscription
- Sell, transfer, or sublicense your account
Violation of these conditions may result in suspension or termination.
04Program Content and Intellectual Property
All content provided by uMaster including:
- Videos
- Curriculum
- Templates
- Worksheets
- Research guides
- Assignments
- Portal content
- Training materials
- Mentor-produced feedback
…is the intellectual property of uMaster.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content
- Record sessions or share recordings
- Publish internal materials publicly
- Use uMaster content for commercial purposes
- Reverse-engineer or repurpose the curriculum
You receive a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access content for personal learning only.
05Student Submissions and Ownership
You retain full ownership of:
- Research ideas
- Assignments
- Project drafts
- Reports and data
- Written, visual, or code-based submissions
By submitting content to uMaster, you grant us a limited license to:
- Review and provide feedback
- Store submissions
- Use anonymised versions internally for training or quality control
We will not publish, sell, or publicly share your work without explicit written permission.
06Coaching Sessions
uMaster offers:
- Live 1:1 or group coaching sessions
- Pre-recorded lessons
- Assignments and progress tracking
- Review and feedback
6.1 Session Scheduling
- Sessions may be booked using Calendly or an external scheduling tool.
- You are responsible for attending on time.
6.2 Missed Sessions
Unless otherwise stated in your program:
- Missed sessions are typically not refundable
- Rescheduling is permitted only if allowed by your specific program policy
6.3 Recordings
Some sessions may be recorded for quality or training purposes. Recordings will never be shared publicly without consent.
07Payments and Billing
By purchasing a program, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees
- Use a valid payment method
- Authorise our payment processor to charge your card
Fees may include:
- Program fees
- Coaching fees
- Taxes (if applicable)
uMaster may change pricing at any time, but changes will not affect already-purchased programs.
08Refund Policy
uMaster's refund policy is defined on the program sales page or checkout page.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- All programs are non-refundable once accessed
- Refund eligibility may depend on:
- Whether the student attended sessions
- Whether program materials were accessed
- Whether mentor time has already been invested
- Refund requests must be emailed to support@umaster.world

09Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Upload harmful, illegal, or offensive content
- Harass mentors or other students
- Misuse software or platforms
- Attempt unauthorised access to any part of uMaster
- Copy or replicate course materials
- Share inappropriate, plagiarised, or unsafe work
uMaster may suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules.
10No Guarantee of Outcomes
uMaster provides education, mentoring, and guidance; not guaranteed academic outcomes.
We do not guarantee:
- Science fair wins
- University admissions
- Publication acceptance
- Research results
- Grade improvements
- Scholarships
Success depends on student effort, participation, and external factors outside our control.
11Third-Party Tools and Links
We use platforms such as:
- LearnWorlds
- Zoom
- Google Workspace
- Calendly
- Tally
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
Your use of these tools may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
uMaster is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.
12Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- You violate these Terms
- You share login access
- You misuse content or attempt fraud
- You engage in harmful or inappropriate behaviour
Upon termination:
- Your access to content and sessions ends
- No refunds are issued unless required by law
13Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
uMaster, its mentors, staff, and affiliates are not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data
- Delays or interruptions
- Student academic or competition outcomes
- Decisions made based on coaching advice
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to discontinue use of the Services.
14Disclaimer
uMaster provides educational guidance but is not responsible for:
- Errors in student submissions
- Scientific experimentation risks
- Incorrect project implementation
- Misuse of research tools or materials
Students must follow safety protocols and teacher or supervisor instructions when conducting experiments.
15Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless uMaster from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
- Your misuse of the platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your submissions or uploaded content
16Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Updates take effect when posted on our website. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
