RefundPolicy

Our refund rules differ from typical digital courses because our programs include mentor time, customised planning, and limited-seat cohorts.

At uMaster, we are committed to providing high-quality STEM mentoring, research coaching, and science fair preparation programs. Because our programs include mentor time, customised planning, proprietary learning materials, and limited-seat cohorts, our refund rules differ from typical digital courses. Please read this Refund Policy carefully before enrolling.

01General Refund Rule

Unless otherwise stated on the specific program sales page:

All uMaster programs are generally non-refundable once:

  • The student has accessed program materials,
  • Attended or booked a session,
  • Submitted assignments for review, or
  • Received mentor feedback.

This is because mentor time, planning, and resources are allocated immediately after enrolment.

02Eligibility for Refund (If Offered)

You may be eligible for a partial or full refund only if:

2.1 Before Program Access

A refund may be granted if:

  • You have not accessed any course or module content
  • You have not attended any session
  • You request a refund one week before the start date
  • Any unforeseeable event occurring within three weeks after the student begins the coaching program may make you eligible for a partial refund of the practical project related fees

2.2 Technical Issues

If you are unable to access the program due to a verified technical issue caused by uMaster or LearnWorlds, and we are unable to resolve it, you may be eligible for a refund.

2.3 Double Payments or Errors

If a duplicate payment or billing error occurs, we will process a correction or refund.

03Non-Refundable Situations

A refund will not be issued in the following cases:

3.1 After Program Participation Begins

Once the student:

  • Attends a live 1:1 or group session for four weeks
  • Accesses any lesson or module until four weeks
  • Downloads worksheets or resources
  • Submits anything for mentor review

…the program becomes non-refundable.

3.2 Limited-Seat Programs

Science Fair programs and Research Mentorship programs have limited slots. Once a seat is reserved, mentor time is committed. These programs are strictly non-refundable after access.

3.3 Disengagement or No-Show

We do not refund:

  • Missed sessions
  • Lack of participation
  • Student disengagement
  • Delays or absences due to personal schedules

3.4 Mentor Change or Schedule Adjustments

Changes in mentor availability or scheduling adjustments do not qualify for refunds unless the program cannot be delivered at all.

04Session Rescheduling and Make-Up Policy

Rescheduling is allowed only if:

  • Your specific program includes rescheduling
  • You request it 24 hours in advance
  • Slots are available

Missed sessions without notice are not refundable or replaceable.

05Subscription and Installment-Based Payments

If your program involves multiple payments:

  • Failure to complete future payments may result in account suspension
  • Previous payments are not refundable
  • Access is restored once payment issues are resolved

06Commitment to Fairness

We understand that unexpected situations occur. If you believe your case deserves special consideration, please email us at support@umaster.world.

We review all requests individually. uMaster reserves the right to approve or decline refunds according to this policy.

07How to Request a Refund

To request a refund (if eligible), email support@umaster.world.

Your email must include:

  • Student name
  • Parent or guardian name (if applicable)
  • Email used during purchase
  • Program purchased
  • Reason for refund request

Refunds (if approved) will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days.

08Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback through your bank, you must contact uMaster to resolve the concern.

Unauthorised or unjustified chargebacks may result in:

  • Immediate removal from programs
  • Suspension of access
  • Legal follow-up if necessary

We always aim to resolve issues amicably.

09Policy Updates

uMaster may update this Refund Policy as needed. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
